◎把抓住兔子的猎狗烹煮吃掉。比喻成就事业后就把有功之臣杀了，只能共患难，不能共欢乐。多指独裁专权。

◎兔子死尽，用来捕兔的猎狗失去了作用，故而烹食之。语本比喻事成之后，出过力的人即遭到杀戮或见弃的命运。多指统治者杀戮功臣而言。明 · 张景也作“兔尽狗烹”。
